Dental Visits

3.jpgOrdinarily, you visit a dentist just for a general check up. The dentist will clean your teeth, examine them and sometimes when the need arises, x-ray your teeth. And based on the x-ray, he will know if there are signs of decay or other oral diseases. There will come a time when the dentist should perform a thorough exam which is called comprehensive examination. He will examine the whole mouth, head and even the neck area. At this point, you should be ready with your medical history. Some procedures are basic for a regular check up. But your dentist may have a different style and skills. These procedures can be done in different order. It does not necessarily mean that they will be done with every visit.
