For those who think that dental fillings are the panacea of all dental cavity problems, hear this. Research shows that dental fillings pose a very grave threat to ones oral care. Yes, dentists have been using it a lot to treat some of your cavities, but the thing is, technology continues to evolve each day, making previous inventions and discovery passé or sometimes, faulty. Yamagishi, a dentist from Japan’s FAP Dental Institute revealed that for a dental filling to stick, some part of the healthy tooth should be drilled and removed. The bacteria inside the cavity will not be totally removed (some are hidden from the naked eyes), hence, making the cavity burrow deeper into the tooth.
