Your toothbrush has to be replaced every two to three months, that’s a fact. Most toothbrushes nowadays even have a color indicator wherein, if the color of the toothbrush fades until the middle section of the bristles, it’s time to replace it. However, there are certain countries that do not practice this hygienic ritual such as Turkey. According to the news, Turkish people sometimes use their toothbrushes up to 4 years.

This is indeed disturbing since this concerns oral hygiene. We all know that the mouth alone has thousands, or even millions of bacteria. What is even more disturbing is the fact that Turkish people use only about 1/5 of the total toothpaste consumption Netherlands has. So, if we are to do the math, a toothbrush used about for 4 years, plus, the act of not brushing twice a day can lead to serious oral cavities.
